PORTRAIT COMMISSIONS
The portrait process begins with a discussion between the artist and the client. At this meeting mood, setting, size, and the price of the portrait is decided. The artist then meets with the subject for a photographic session or sessions lasting approximately two hours each. The photographs provide a frame of reference for composition, pose, and lighting. All portraits are done in a traditional ¾ to life size format. After a mutual agreement about the painting has been reached between Ms. Carr and the client a 40% deposit is required. Depending on the size of the portrait, completion may take up to six months for a single-subject-painting. Before the painting is shipped a photograph of the completed portrait will be sent to the client for final approval. Shipping and insurance costs are the responsibility of the client. Upon request, framing recommendations will be given.
